We started with a bath. Silly you think? Well, I won't admit the last time we bathed our kids. Not even if you use military techniques. I will just keep repeating "we are not bad parents, we are not bad parents..." So yes, a bath.
The girls hair length when wet
Love her sass!!
Before we left we had a mini modeling session.
It was the first time John had joined the kids and I in any haircut adventures. And of course, mommy forgets to limit the number of toys the kids get to play with. *cringe*. After about 5 minutes, as one child was led outside for a calm down, mommy remembered - two cars each. Only two!
While sitting on daddy's lap, waiting, Katie proudly announced she wanted to go first. Then Mrs. Laurie came out and asked who wanted to go first. Crickets. We finally got a small smirk and whispered "me" from little miss.
She is loving the attention
While also keeping a watchful eye!
Flipping her new hair
She was a very happy camper with the two clips Mrs. Laurie put in. No, no picture. Yes, they are lost already.
Addie's turn!! Peanut was a little scared. She asked for Daddy to hold her hand.
After the first cut she was okay. She had been afraid it would hurt.
Always a little trepidacious though.
All selfies. Tongue out.
Instead of clips, she chose a braid.
What do the kids do while waiting you ask?
Spin in the chair
Take pics with the phone
And anxiously await the appearance of the treat basket!! We love Mrs. Laurie. I hope we can find someone as nice and caring in Alabama.
In other news...
We bought Katie size 4T pajamas today. Girl is getting too tall!!
